Español: La Catedral de Arequipa (también conocida como Catedral basílica de Arequipa) es considerada uno de los primeros monumentos religiosos del siglo XVII en Arequipa. Fue construida con ignimbrita (piedra de origen volcánico), y bóvedas de ladrillo; es el santuario principal de la ciudad ocupando todo el lado norte de la Plaza de Armas. Construida totalmente en sillar, exhibe un estilo neorrenacentista con cierta influencia gótica. . Catedral de Arequipa por la noche, se puede observar unos chicos vendiendo chocolate y cafe, actividad común en las noches frias de la ciudad.
English: The Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa is located in the "Plaza de Armas" of the city of Arequipa, province of Arequipa, Peru. It is the most important Catholic church of the city and also of the larger Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Arequipa since it is the base of the Archbishop and the Metropolitan Council.
