Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat (at Meta-Wiki only)

Meta-Wiki has a small active community. When a normal user requires the assistance of an administrator or bureaucrat for some particular task, it is not always easy to find one. This page helps users find one when they need one; asking specific admins directly via their talk pages is one way to elicit a fast response. It is only for assistance required at Meta-Wiki, help for other wikis needs to be requested at those wikis.

• Before posting to this page, make sure your comment doesn't belong at one of these specific request pages:

Expansion of Langx in other Wikipedia languages

I want to expand all languages for using {{Langx}} from en:Module:Lang. It was first appeared on English, then expanded on Simple English, Averic and Balinese Wikipedias. Per frequent discussion at:

User is indef blocked on enwiki for copyright violations. A block appeal was declined. On the other hand, Special:CentralAuth/Ennydavids shows that enwiki is not the most relevant project of this user. I am leaving this open for other sysops and their opinions on this request, as Meta:Event organizers only states "No active blocks on the wiki on which you are applying for the right". I'm quite neutral – the block appeal was declined and copyright violations is a serious issue to be blocked on, but it seems the user's main contributions are on Wikidata. SHB2000 (t • c) 10:48, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

While I don't think someone blocked for copyright issues should be running events, content on Wikidata isn't prose, so I don't object. — JJMC89 (T·C) 21:42, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
